Description
The external antenna allows the drone detector to operate from inside the vehicle while the antennas are securely mounted outside.
This solution is necessary for vehicle installation, as it significantly improves the drone detection range and response speed. For comparison, when the detector is used inside a vehicle without external antennas, the detection range may decrease to 500 meters due to interference caused by the vehicle body. External antennas help eliminate this issue by ensuring stable signal reception.
The system is easy to integrate with the Obriy 1.3 and Obriy 1.4 detectors, providing stable signal reception and real-time monitoring.
We recommend choosing the 2 m external antenna, as the 5 m version reduces overall performance. At 5.8 GHz, the detection range with a 5 m antenna may be approximately 50% lower compared to the 2 m antenna.
Advantages of the external antenna:
- Increased detection coverage compared to using the standard kit inside a vehicle;
- Convenient use with the detector and display;
- Suitable for use in challenging weather conditions.
